Participation & Informed Consent

Workshop purpose

Merry & Overstimulated is an educational, interactive workshop exploring neurodivergence, holiday stress, sensory needs, expectations, and practical accommodations.

The workshop is not psychotherapy, group counselling, medical treatment, or a substitute for individualized professional support. Participation does not establish a therapist-client relationship with either facilitator.

Participation and personal choice

Participants are welcome to engage in ways that feel comfortable and accessible. Speaking, sharing personal experiences, and participating in individual exercises are always optional. Participants may take breaks, step away, or decline activities without explanation.

Some discussions may bring up uncomfortable emotions or personal experiences. Participants are encouraged to care for their own needs and seek additional support if necessary.

Privacy and group confidentiality

Facilitators will handle registration information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and use it for workshop administration and agreed communications.

Participants are asked to respect the privacy of others and not share identifying information or personal stories outside the workshop. However, because this is a group setting, confidentiality among participants cannot be guaranteed.

Online participation and recording

By registering, I acknowledge that I understand the educational nature of the workshop, the voluntary nature of participation, the potential for emotional discomfort, and the limitations of group confidentiality. I have reviewed the applicable recording and cancellation policies and voluntarily agree to participate.
